It is based off of the Ramayana, specifically the part where the Sage Vishwamitra guides Rama and Lakshmana through the different lands and tells them different stories of the past, all the while allowing Rama to step into his true role as the avatar of Vishnu. The One Where Rama Runs Away This is a story of Rama and his struggle with Ravana, but with a Lion King twist on it!
